Since 2011, SFC Energy B.V. has been part of the publicly traded SFC Energy Group AG, headquartered in Brunnthal near Munich. As a world-leading manufacturer of hydrogen and direct methanol fuel cells, the company provides innovative, hybrid energy solutions for stationary, portable and mobile applications.

The Dutch operation, with roots in Philips Almelo and later PBF, consists of two specialized divisions:

• Power Supplies - We develop and produce customer-specific power supplies and modular high-power cabinets for demanding sectors such as the laser and semiconductor industries. Thanks to our configure-to-order principle, we offer flexible and customized solutions for our customers.
• Coils & Linear Drives - We design and manufacture orthocyclically wound coils, linear motors and complete inductive mechatronic assemblies. Working closely with our customers, we develop customized solutions for the analytical, medical and high-tech industries, among others. Our expertise includes precision bending of coils and vacuum casting of complex assemblies.

Our R&D and engineering team operates from Almelo, the Netherlands, where approximately 50 employees work. Production takes place at our modern facility in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, where more than 130 employees work.
